Brody is 5

It is hard to believe that Brody is 5. He is such a joy to have in our family. A special on my middle child. Brody is my sweetheart. Whenever I come home or get up in the morning. He is the first to run up and give me a hug and kiss. He is very sensitive to others feelings, but also very sensitive with his own. Which leads to him crying more when his feelings are hurt. But he is always willing to give his brother and sister things that they want. He is willing to buy his brother toys with his birthday money or share treats. Brody is very smart for his age, but doesn't like homework. He can read and write his name beautifully. His kindergarten teacher in 6 months will be very pleased. He is easy to please, I can buy him anything for his present and he thinks it is "The Best Day Ever!" He loves to eat and looks so happy doing so. He is also a little bull in the china closet not knowing his own strength and many times knocking people over. He has some great friends his age that he likes to play with Benji and Eli. I love his outlook on life.
We let the kids pick a place to eat for dinner. Brody first picked McDonald's, then he changed his mind and picked Chick-Fil-A for lunch and dinner. However, when we got there for lunch he said that it wasn't the place he was talking about. After him getting frustrated at me for not being able to read his mind. I figured out he wanted Peter Piper Pizza from his clues of it has money, and tickets, prizes, and a red and blue slide.

Grandma and Grandpa came after me telling them 3 different places that he wanted to go.
He opened his Hot Wheels Track from mom and dad.
He got money from Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma made a card with Brody face on it. He keep saying "I have this costume" and didn't realize the picture was of him. He went to the store and picked some toys.

Grammy and Grandad sent Brody a toy. They asked for suggestions and Bleblades was something Brody said he wanted. Along with a new real puppy and art stuff. Grammy pick Bleblades, so glad it wasn't a puppy. Brody LOVED the gift they stayed up late his birthday playing.

He also got card and money from Bean and John they are always so sweet to send things. He also got cards from his cousins and treats, which he ate for breakfast. Aunt Becky called and Grammy called and he only talked for a min then he had things to do. He isn't my phone talker.

Brody also wanted a friend party, something I usually don't do. But I did let him pick two friends to take to Lunch at Chick-Fil-A, which has a play area. I totally forgot to take pictures. His friend Benji gave him a spiderman costume and they were both so excited because when they play together they can both wear there spiderman costumes. Eli gave him wood 3-D puzzles and bubble wand. I decided to steal pictures of their mom's blog so I can have in his journal. Benji is on the top and Eli on the bottom :)

Christmas Break from School

Christmas Break consisted of riding bikes and mom working in the garage building shelves.
Gavin loves to ride his bike on the hills by the house. We got comfortable with him going while we were outside.
 Brody tried to keep up.
He usually didn't go and just rode up the neighbors driveways and raced down.

Dad took all the kids on the motorcycle.

2 of my 3 shelves I finished. They are super heavy and almost didn't fit in through the door.

Face Painting

I was asked to face paint for the Primary Meet the Teacher Carnival. So I practiced my skills on the kids. They loved and didn't want to wash it off for bed.

Brody Christmas Preschool Program

Brody did his Preschool Christmas Program. The teacher asked that the kids dressed up nice. That is not easy for Brody. We had a fight and I wrested the "Polo" shirt on him and dress pants and shoes. Sent him to time out for giving me a hard time. While in time out he changed into his shorts and shirt he wanted. Then I had to wrestle him again to get back in the dress clothes. Why are pants and dress shirt so hard to wear. Its not like I had him wear a tie like some of the other moms. And they probably didn't fight their moms.
Once at school he didn't even seem to care about the clothes. He was a cute little waiter and asked what I wanted to drink and which cookie. They do so much fun stuff in Preschool.

Christmas

Well I am super slow in my postings. Christmas was wonderful the kids loved all their gifts. We love that Grandma and Grandpa lives close we can call them in the morning and they run over.

Paris favorite gift is her baby doll and stroller!

Grandma and Grandpa gave the kids money before Christmas and the boys went to the store to buy presents for the other with the money. I took Brody first and he did not understand picking a gift for Gavin. He found the Spiderman mask and web shooter and really, really wanted. But told him Gavin would have to pick it for him. Finally picked Gavin a Lego set and good thing Gavin picked out the gift Brody wanted for Christmas :) Brody also got Paris a Dr set for her dolls or dog in most cases.
 Thanks Grandma and Grandpa
 Paris loves to be mommy.
 Brody loves art!
Got some tool boxes with all the tools they would ever need. In hopes that they will stay out of dad's tool box.
We got the boys Air soft guns.
 Treats are always popular.
 Paris loves her chapsticks.

 Gavin's favorite toys.

We made Paris wear Goggles while the boys are using their guns. She wasn't happy about wearing it.
Paris using her Dr kit on the dog. Paris bothers the dog constantly. Hugging until she crys, putting crowns on her, giving her Dr visit. Bella the dog puts up with all of it.

Painting

All my kids love to paint.

We did our tradition of painting Christmas Bulbs.
